Proposal

Proposal
My Idea is going to be a Monty Python like animation; based on the fact Sigmund Freud had a morbid fear of ferns.  My idea is quite simple but if done correctly can be really good but on the other hand if it went wrong it would go really wrong because of how simple the idea is.  I am probably going to incorporate troll face some how because this is defiantly not a serious video because it is a Monty python like video and it is about a fear of an in-animate object and not only an in-animate object a plant. I plan to incorporate the benny hill chase music to add to the comic theme of the video. I will also be adding a giant fern probably with the troll face on it via editing to further enforce the comedy of the animation.

Ideas (was done before but didnt post it)

Ideas

Sigmund Freud standing around all snappy like, blabbering on about Freudian slip and other famous theories of his then a fern walks up behind him and taps him on the shoulder and he turns slowly round sees the fern and his eyes jump out of the sockets in true cartoon fashion then in further cartoon fashion leaves his eyes behind and runs out the shot then reaches into the shot and grabs his eyes then the fern and Freud run in and out of the picture from left to right and right to left, right at back and right at the front of the shot then the catches up to Freud and corners him as he cowers like a scared child then the fern eats Freud.

Animation Types

Animation types

Stop-go
This type of animation is quite an old type of animation that works by taking a picture of something that is made out of materials like clay or at least something that has movable joints at least. You then take a picture of it in one position then move it by a small increment then take another picture and repeat till you have finished creating the sketch or scene that your doing. This process is quite good because it is the easiest to do despite the fact that it is very time consuming because you have to take a picture or record every single inch of movement which is easy enough with basic modals but when you have a face and facial expressions then it is a hell a lot harder to do.

CGI/digital
This is the type of animation that is used most in films to create things that are unrealistic like a fifty-foot tall Cyclops realistic or at least possible and move and act like he is actually there although we know its been done by CGI because most the time its used for making myths or very improbable things be it falling 200ft and the actor casually creates a crater and gets up and walks off and the afore mentioned Cyclops, Although parts of this are done by other types of special effects but usually the actual fall and first contact with the floor and the main movement of the Cyclops and acting is done by CGI. Out of these three animation styles this is the most modern of the lot and is still young and could become really, really awesome.

Zoetrope
This was based of the phenakistoscope which was a disc with slits in and pictures on it and you would look through the back of it at a mirror as it was spinning, and it would show you the image moving, the zoetrope on the other hand is a spinning cylinder with slits in it which was much better then the phenakistoscope because, A you don’t need a mirror, multiple people can watch it at once the zoetrope got replaced by the praxinoscope in 1877 which was the same except there was mirrors in the centre instead of the slits on the outside of the cylinder this allowed people to watch the reflected image thus the image was clearer and brighter.
